To provide a saddle-riding type vehicle capable of maintaining appropriate appearance even when a front side license plate is removed.SOLUTION: In a saddle-riding type vehicle comprising: a front cowl (8) adjacent to a peripheral edge of a headlight (12); and a holder member (14) supporting a license plate (13) and attached below the front cowl (8), fastening members (33) for attaching the holder member (14) to the front cowl (8) protrudes from the front cowl (8) side to be engaged with the holder member (14). A bottom surface (36) of the front cowl (8) in contact with the holder member (14) is inclined upward as proceeding vehicle-rearward. The holder member (14) is attached to the front cowl (8) via one fastening member (33) on a front side of the vehicle and two fastening members (33) aligned vehicle-widthwise on a rear side of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】前側ライセンスプレートを取り外しても外観性を保つことができる鞍乗型車両を提供する。【解決手段】ヘッドライト（１２）の周縁に接するフロントカウル（８）と、ライセンスプレート（１３）を支持すると共に前記フロントカウル（８）の下部に取り付けられるホルダ部材（１４）とを有する鞍乗型車両（１）において、ホルダ部材（１４）をフロントカウル（８）に取り付ける締結部材（３３）が、フロントカウル（８）側から突出してホルダ部材（１４）に係合する。ホルダ部材（１４）が接するフロントカウル（８）の底面（３６）が、車体後方に向かって後上がりに傾斜する。ホルダ部材（１４）が、車体前方寄りの１つおよび車体後方寄りで車幅方向に並ぶ２つの締結部材（３３）によってフロントカウル（８）に取り付けられる。【選択図】図４
