Summary:To estimate the position of a wireless terminal station with good accuracy using RTT and/or RSSI.SOLUTION: Provided is a position estimation method for transmitting/receiving a measurement signal and a response signal between a wireless station 10 equipped with a plurality of n known antennas 11 installed at mutually different known positions and a wireless terminal station 20 equipped with a terminal antenna 21, measuring an RTT that is a reciprocal delay time of the above and an RSSI that is a received radio wave strength of the above, and estimating the position of the wireless terminal station. With this method, a solution obtained by simultaneously satisfying an RTT evaluation function ffor evaluating the estimated value of position of the wireless terminal station that is estimated from the RTT measured between the known antennas i (i=1, 2, through n) and an RSSI evaluation function ffor evaluating the estimated value of position of the wireless terminal station that is estimated from the RSSI, or an estimated value searched for so that a combined error evaluation function fof the RTT and RSSI evaluation functions becomes minimum is obtained as the position of the wireless terminal station.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】RTTまたは/およびRSSIを用いて無線端末局の位置を精度よく推定する。【解決手段】互いに異なる既知の位置に設置された複数n個の既知アンテナ11を備える無線局10と、端末アンテナ21を備える無線端末局20との間で測定信号と応答信号を送受信し、その往復遅延時間であるRTTおよびその受信電波強度であるRSSIを測定して無線端末局の位置を推定する位置推定方法において、既知アンテナi(i=1,2,...,n)との間で測定されるRTTから推定される無線端末局の位置の推定値を評価するRTT評価関数ftiと、RSSIから推定される無線端末局の位置の推定値を評価するRSSI評価関数friとを連立させることにより得られる解、もしくはRTT評価関数とRSSI評価関数を組み合わせた誤差評価関数ferrorが最小になるように推定値を探索した値を無線端末局の位置として求める。【選択図】図1
