Summary:To provide a technique for making a quality of images to be formed uniform even when an environment for use changes in an optical writing device and an image formation apparatus.SOLUTION: In an image formation apparatus, a light-emitting element matrix includes 100 light-emitting elements arrayed in 10×10. Three states which are a state ST-1, a state ST-2 and a state ST-3 are set with respect to the light-emitting element matrix corresponding to the pixel of "lighting". An initial state is the state ST-1. When an atmospheric temperature of the light-emitting element exceeds a threshold T1, the state of the light-emitting element matrix is controlled to the state ST-2.
