Summary:To provide an air conditioner suppressing deterioration of reliability of a compressor in the air conditioner having an intermediate pressure receiver.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 includes: refrigerant circuits 10, 13 connected by refrigerant piping so that a refrigerant flows in a compressor 21, a condenser 23, a second expansion valve 28, an intermediate pressure receiver 81, a first expansion valve 24 and an evaporator 31 in this order; and control means 200 controlling the second expansion valve 28 and the first expansion valve 24.
