To appropriately discharge an ink from a nozzle even without executing cleaning operation when supplying a sub power source and starting printing.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes a main power switch 18 for driving a control device 70, and a sub power switch 12C for enabling printing on a recording medium 5.
