Summary:To provide a submerged member and a pump capable of extending their service lives.SOLUTION: A nanopillar structure 84 having a plurality of nanosized pillars is provided in a submerged part (a connection part A between a suction bell 11A and a pumping pipe 11B) which is submerged in liquid. The nanopillar structure 84 can hold air in nanosized gaps between the pillars to form an air pocket. With this air pocket, capillary force generated in the gap of the connection part A can be reduced, and the infiltration of the liquid into the gap can be suppressed. Also, if the liquid does not enter due to the air pocket between the pillars, the area in contact with the liquid is reduced, so that the corrosion rate of the suction bell 11A and the pumping pipe 11B in the liquid can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】耐用寿命を延長できる浸水部材、ポンプの提供。【解決手段】液体に浸る浸水部(吸込ベル11Aと揚水管11Bとの接続部A)に、ナノサイズの複数のピラーを有するナノピラー構造体84が設けられている。ナノピラー構造体84は、ピラー間のナノサイズの隙間に空気を保持し、空気溜まりを形成することができる。この空気溜まりによって、接続部Aの隙間において発生する毛細管力を低減し、その隙間への液体の浸入を抑制することができる。また、ピラー間の空気溜まりによって液体が侵入しなければ、液体との接液面積も減るため、吸込ベル11Aと揚水管11Bの液中での腐食速度を低下させることができる。【選択図】図2
