To at least improve safety performance of a battery.SOLUTION: The electrode assembly includes: a first electrode sheet; a second electrode sheet; and a separator provided between the first electrode sheet and the second electrode sheet. The first electrode sheet and the second electrode sheet are wound or laminated to form an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly includes: a first tab provided on the first electrode sheet; and an insulating layer including a first portion provided on the first electrode sheet and having no second electrode sheet between the first portion and the first tab.
