Summary:To obtain a vehicle pillar which can suppress the enlargement of a dimension in a vehicle width direction without making the dimension accuracy of a first pillar member and a second pillar member strict.SOLUTION: In a vehicle pillar 10, a first pillar member 12 and a second pillar member 14 are joined to each other by being applied with fillet welding by arc welding at corners between an opposing face 26 of the first pillar member 12, and end faces 30 of both flange parts 20, 24 of the second pillar member 14. By this constitution, the first pillar member 12 and the second pillar member 14 can be joined to each other without making the dimension accuracy of the first pillar member 12 and the second pillar member 14 strict, and the lowering of the welding quality of the first pillar member 12 and the second pillar member 14 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】第1ピラー部材及び第2ピラー部材の各々の寸法精度を厳格にしなくても車幅方向寸法の大型化を抑制できる車両用ピラーを得る。【解決手段】本車両ピラー10では、第1ピラー部材12の対向面26と、第2ピラー部材14の両フランジ部20、24の端面30との隅でアーク溶接による隅肉溶接が施されることによって第1ピラー部材12と第2ピラー部材14とが接合される。これによって、第1ピラー部材12及び第2ピラー部材14の寸法精度を厳格にしなくても第1ピラー部材12と第2ピラー部材14とを接合でき、しかも、第1ピラー部材12と第2ピラー部材14との溶接品質の低下を抑制できる。【選択図】図2
