Summary:To provide an improved method and system relating to monitor and diagnosis of rotor blades.SOLUTION: A method includes: attaching an RF reader 166 to a stationary surface 182; attaching an RF tag 160 to a rotor blade 181; collecting strength-of-signal data points via an RF monitoring process; repeating the RF monitoring process until a plurality of strength-of-signal data points are collected; determining a maximum strength-of-signal from the plurality of strength-of-signal data points; and determining an arrival-time for the rotor blade as being a time that corresponds to the maximum strength-of-signal.
