Summary:To provide a seat belt device that can set an upper limit value of an optimal load for drawing out.SOLUTION: A seat belt device comprises: a webbing 41 that constrains an occupant to a seat in a vehicle; a spool 51 that rotates to be able to wind up and draw out the webbing 41; a rotation inhibiting mechanism that inhibits the spool 51 from rotating at the time of collision of the vehicle to restrict the spool from drawing out the webbing 41; a load restricting mechanism that allows the spool 51 to rotate, when a load for drawing out not less than a limit value in a drawing-out direction of the webbing 41 acts on the spool 51, with rotation of the spool 51 inhibited; a motor 61 that imparts to the spool 51 torque for rotating the spool in a winding-up direction or in a drawing-out direction of the webbing 41; and control means that controls the motor 61 at the time of the collision so that torque to be imparted to the spool 51 is adjusted, which can increase and decrease a set upper limit value of the load for drawing out the webbing 41 at the time of the collision with respect to the limit value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】最適な引出荷重の上限値を設定することができるシートベルト装置を提供する。【解決手段】シートベルト装置は、乗員を車両のシートに拘束するウェビング41と、ウェビング41を巻き取ると共に引き出し可能に回転するスプール51と、車両の衝突時にスプール51の回転を阻止してウェビング41の引き出しを禁止する回転阻止機構と、スプール51の回転が阻止された状態で、スプール51にウェビング41の引き出し方向へ制限値以上の引出荷重が作用した場合に、スプール51の回転を許容する荷重制限機構と、スプール51に対してウェビング41の巻き取り方向又は引き出し方向に回転させるトルクを付与するモータ61と、衝突時にモータ61を制御し、スプール51に付与するトルクを調整する制御手段とを有し、衝突時にウェビング41を引き出す引出荷重の上限値の設定を制限値に対して増減可能とした。【選択図】図2
