Summary:To provide a recording element substrate that can control a temperature of ink in good response to temperature variation of a recording element substrate, and a liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: A recording element substrate that discharges liquid comprises: a heating part 112 that heats liquid; a driving circuit 111 comprising an MOS transistor for driving the heating part 112; and a voltage generating part 110 that generates voltages for driving the driving circuit 111 and applies the voltages to a gate of the MOS transistor.
