Summary: | To provide an article inspection device with which it is possible to guarantee required accuracy of measurement while reliably preventing degradation of yield due to two-piece loading.SOLUTION: An article inspection device comprises: a measurement device 20 for measuring a weight of an article W on a measurement conveyor 22 and determining a state of article quality on the basis of the measured value; a carry-in condition setting unit 31 for setting a condition for an interval Lb that is permissible for the article W being carried in to the measurement conveyor 22; a carry-in interval adjustment conveyor 26 provided upstream of the measurement conveyor 22; and a rear end detection sensor 28 for detecting a rear end of the article W when the article W is carried in from the conveyor 26 to the measurement conveyor 22; an article detection sensor 27 for detecting the tip of the article W being carried in to the carry-in interval adjustment conveyor 26; and a carry-in interval control unit 35 for controlling the speed of the carry-in interval adjustment conveyor 26 from a timing when a rear end of a preceding article W is detected by the rear end detection sensor 28 so that the article W detected by the article detection sensor 27 is carried into an inspection area L1 satisfying the set carry-in interval Lb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
