To provide a sheet processing device capable of stabilizing a detection result of a position of an uppermost face of sheets mounted thereon.SOLUTION: The sheet processing device includes conveying means for conveying sheets received from upstream devices in a conveying direction, stiffness providing means for forming a curved part curved upward along the conveying direction on the sheets conveyed by the conveying means to thereby subject the sheets to stiffness providing treatment, mounting means for mounting thereon the sheets conveyed by the conveying means and having the curved part formed by the stiffness providing means, and detection means for detecting a position of an uppermost face of the sheets mounted on the mounting means; the sheets are mounted on the mounting means so that the curved part and a detected position by the detection means reside at positions deviating in a width direction crossing the conveying direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】積載されたシートの最上面の位置の検知結果の安定化を図る。【解決手段】シート処理装置は、上流装置から受け取ったシートを搬送方向に搬送する搬送手段と、搬送手段により搬送されたシートに対して、搬送方向に沿って上方へ湾曲する湾曲部を形成することによりシートにコシ付け処理を施すコシ付け手段と、搬送手段により搬送され、コシ付け手段により湾曲部が形成されたシートを積載する積載手段と、積載手段に積載されたシートの最上面の位置を検知する検知手段と、を備える。シート処理装置は、湾曲部と検知手段による検知位置とが搬送方向と交差する幅方向にずれた位置となるようにシートを積載手段に積載する。【選択図】図７
