Summary:To provide a gas generator with a dual structure that can enhance a collecting function for slag while suppressing an increase in weight.SOLUTION: A gas generator 1A comprises a partition part 44 which partitions the space inside a filter 70 into a first combustion chamber S1 and a second combustion chamber S2, and the partition part 44 has a cylindrical partition wall member 45 and a lid member 46 including a closure part 46a and a cylindrical part 46b. A gas passage groove is provided on at least one of a peripheral surface of the cylindrical part 46b which comes into contact with the partition wall member 45 and a peripheral surface of the partition wall member 45 which comes into contact with the cylindrical part 46b. When a second igniter 42 is in operation, the gas passage groove links the first combustion chamber S1 and second combustion chamber S2 accompanying a movement of the lid member 46 while the cylindrical part 46b is held in contact with the partition wall member 45 because of a rise in pressure in the second combustion chamber S2, and consequently a gas produced in the second combustion chamber S2 passes through the gas passage groove to be introduced into the first combustion chamber S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】重量の増加を抑制しつつスラグの捕集機能を高めることができるデュアル構造のガス発生器を提供する。【解決手段】ガス発生器1Aは、フィルタ70の内側の空間を第1燃焼室S1と第2燃焼室S2とに仕切る仕切り部44を備え、仕切り部44は、筒状の隔壁部材45と、閉塞部46aおよび筒状部46bを含む蓋部材46とを有する。筒状部46bのうちの隔壁部材45に密着する周面および隔壁部材45のうちの筒状部46bに密着する部分の周面の少なくとも一方には、ガス通過溝が設けられる。第2点火器42の作動時においては、第2燃焼室S2の圧力上昇により、筒状部46bが隔壁部材45に密着した状態が維持されつつ蓋部材46が移動することに伴い、ガス通過溝が第1燃焼室S1と第2燃焼室S2とを連通させ、これにより、第2燃焼室S2にて発生したガスが、ガス通過溝を通過して第1燃焼室S1に導入される。【選択図】図1
