Summary:To provide a driving assist device that can prevent a driver from feeling disturbed due to excessive application of assist torque for curve.SOLUTION: A driving assist device configured to assist a driving operation by a driver of a vehicle includes: an assist torque application unit configured to apply assist torque for curve to a steering part based on the amount of steering by the driver and the target steering amount; and a curve entering state determination unit configured to determine whether a curve entering state by the driver is stable or non-stable based on the steering history of the driver, information on the curve, and a horizontal position or determine whether a curve entering state by the driver is stable or non-stable based on the past trajectory of traveling on the curve and the horizontal position.
