To provide an environment control system and the like capable of suppressing reduction in performance of an intellectual work.SOLUTION: An environment control system 10 comprises: a detection unit 11 for detecting reduction in concentration of a user doing an intellectual work; and a recovery unit 13 which recovers the concentration of the user. When the reduction in the concentration of the user is detected, the recovery unit 13 changes the environment of the user and thereby further reduces the concentration of the user temporarily.
