Summary:To provide a rotary electric machine in which a stator cooling flow path can be formed so as to be compact.SOLUTION: A flow path for a stator cooling refrigerant is formed by water jackets that are fitted and fixed to a root side which is a flange side on the outer periphery of a cylindrical portion of the stator frame and to a leading end side of the cylindrical portion. There is a diameter difference between the root-side diameter and the leading end-side diameter of the stator frame such that the root-side diameter is larger. The stator frame and the water jackets are sealed by press-fitting and welding at the root side and the leading end side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ステータ冷却流路をコンパクトに構成できる回転電機を提供する。【解決手段】前記ステータフレームの円筒部外周にてフランジ側である根元側と円筒部の先端側の両端に嵌合固定されるウォータジャケットによりステータ冷却冷媒の流路が構成され、ステータフレームの根元側の径と先端側の径に径差を有し、根元側の径の方が大きく形成され、ステータフレームとウォータジャケットは、根元側と先端側で圧入および溶接によりシールされている。【選択図】図1
