Summary:To efficiently and sufficiently cool a cleaning member cleaning a surface of a fixing rotating body or a pressure rotating body when the cleaning member moves to a separation position.SOLUTION: There is installed a cleaning roller 35 (cleaning member) configured to be movable between a contact position where it is in contact with a surface of a pressure roller 31 (pressure rotating body) and a separation position where it is separated from the surface through the operation of moving mechanisms 38, 51 (moving means). There is also installed a cooling roller 36 (cooling member) that is in contact with the cleaning roller 35 moved to the separation position. The heat capacity of the cooling roller 36 is set to be larger than the heat capacity of the cleaning roller 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】定着回転体又は加圧回転体の表面をクリーニングするクリーニング部材が離間位置に移動しているときに、クリーニング部材を効率的かつ充分に冷却する。【解決手段】移動機構38、51(移動手段)の動作によって、加圧ローラ31(加圧回転体)の表面に当接する当接位置と、その表面から離れる離間位置と、の間を移動可能に構成されたクリーニングローラ35(クリーニング部材)が設置されている。また、離間位置に移動したクリーニングローラ35に当接する冷却ローラ36(冷却部材)が設置されている。そして、冷却ローラ36の熱容量が、クリーニングローラ35の熱容量よりも大きくなるように設定されている。【選択図】図2
