To reduce an oil storage amount while securing an oil supply amount supplied to a lubrication-necessary part in a transmission case by a simple structure, in a vertical-type manual transmission.SOLUTION: A lubrication device of a transmission comprises: a plurality of gear-change gear rows G1 to G5 which are arranged with intervals in an axial direction between an input shaft 10 and a counter shaft 30 which is located below the input shaft 10, and in parallel therewith; and a transmission case 5 for accommodating the input shaft 10, the counter shaft 30, the plurality of gear rows G1 to G5, and lubrication oil. The lubrication device also comprises a third-speed driven gear 22 arranged at the counter shaft 30, and a first-speed driven gear 21, and in a state that a liquid level of oil is relatively inclined to a road face by a prescribed inclination when viewed from a vehicle body width direction so that the oil becomes deep in a depth at the third-speed driven gear 23 side compared with the first-speed driven gear 21 side, a baffle plate 80 for supplying the oil to the first-speed driven gear 21 by collecting the oil which is scooped up by the third-speed driven gear 22 is arranged while adjoining sideways of both the driven gears 21, 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】縦置き式の手動変速機において、簡素な構造で変速機ケース内の要潤滑部に供給するオイル供給量を確保しつつオイルの貯留量を低減させる。【解決手段】変速機の潤滑装置は、入力軸１０と該入力軸１０よりも下方かつ平行なカウンタ軸３０との間に軸方向に間隔を空けて設けられた複数の変速用ギヤ列Ｇ１〜Ｇ５と、入力軸１０とカウンタ軸３０と複数のギヤ列Ｇ１〜Ｇ５と潤滑用のオイルとを収容する変速機ケース５とを備え、カウンタ軸３０に設けられた３速用被動ギヤ２２と、１速用被動ギヤ２１とを備え、１速用被動ギヤ２１側に比べて３速用被動ギヤ２３側においてオイルが深くなるように該オイルの液面が、車体幅方向から見て路面に対して相対的に傾斜した所定傾斜状態において、３速用被動ギヤ２２によって掻き上げられたオイルを捕捉して１速用被動ギヤ２１に供給するバッフルプレート８０が、両被動ギヤ２１、２３の側方に隣接して配置されている。【選択図】図２
