Summary:To provide a decoration method by which a new construction coating, which has excellent finishability, adherence and so on with respect to an existing wall surface having an uneven pattern and comprising an existing coating, can be formed while taking advantage of the uneven pattern.SOLUTION: According to this decoration method, in a work for coating an existing wall surface deteriorated over long-term with a primer coating material and a top coating material in this order, the primer coating material contains a non-aqueous solvent (A), a resin component (B), and a thickner (C), the non-aqueous solvent (A) contains a non-aqueous solvent at an aniline point of 12 to 70°C, the resin component (B) comprises one or more kinds of compounds of which at least one kind is a compound having a reactive silyl group, a solid content of the resin component (B) is 25 to 75% by weight in the primer coating material, and the primer coating material has a pigment volume concentration of below 30%.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】凹凸模様を有し、既存被膜を備えた既存壁面に対し、その凹凸模様を活かしつつ、仕上り性、密着性等に優れた新設被膜が形成できる化粧方法の提供。【解決手段】経年劣化した既存壁面に対し、下塗材及び上塗材を順に塗付する作業において、下塗材は、非水系溶剤(A)、樹脂成分(B)、及び増粘剤(C)を含み、非水系溶剤(A)は、アニリン点12〜70℃の非水系溶剤を含み、樹脂成分(B)は、1種または2種以上の化合物からなり、化合物のうち少なくとも1種は反応性シリル基を有する化合物であり、樹脂成分(B)の固形分は、下塗材中に25〜75重量%であり、下塗材は、顔料体積濃度が30%未満である化粧方法。【選択図】なし
