Summary:To improve a repetition frequency of a UV laser that operates with laser output.SOLUTION: A repetition frequency (pulse) multiplier 120 includes one or more beam splitters and prisms forming one or more ring cavities with different optical path lengths that delay parts of the energy of each pulse. A series of input laser pulses circulate in the ring cavities and part of the energy of each pulse leaves the system after traversing the shorter cavity path, while another part of the energy leaves the system after traversing the longer cavity path, and/or a combination of both cavity paths. By proper choice of the ring cavity optical path length, a repetition frequency of an output series of laser pulses can be made to be a multiple of an input repetition frequency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】レーザの出力で動作するUVレーザの繰返し周波数を改善する。【解決手段】繰返し周波数(パルス)逓倍器120は、1つまたは複数のビームスプリッタとプリズムを含み、これらが、各パルスのエネルギーの一部を遅延させる、光路長の異なる1つまたは複数のリングキャビティを形成する。一連の入力レーザパルスはリングキャビティ内を循環し、各パルスのエネルギーの一部は、より短いキャビティ光路を通過した後にシステムから出て、エネルギーの別の部分はより長いキャビティ光路および/または両キャビティ光路の組合せを通過した後にシステムから出る。リングキャビティの光路長を適正に選択することによって、レーザパルスの一連の出力の繰返し周波数を入力繰返し周波数の倍数とすることができる。【選択図】図1
