To provide a spark plug capable of making it difficult to peel off a discharge member bonded to a base material.SOLUTION: A spark plug includes a first electrode including a base material and a discharge member in which at least a part of the base material is joined to the base material via a diffusion layer, and a second electrode facing the discharge member via a spark gap.
