Summary:To provide a charged particle beam intensity distribution variable device, a charged particle beam intensity distribution variable method, a secondary particle generation device, and a radioactive isotope generation device that can form a charged particle beam having a hollow beam intensity distribution.SOLUTION: A charged particle beam intensity distribution variable device (1) includes: an accelerator (5) that accelerates and radiates a charged particle beam generated at an ion beam source; and multipole electromagnets (50) at least one or more of which are provided on a traveling path of the charged particle beam radiated from the accelerator and which have magnetic poles having six or more poles to form a magnetic field having a non-linear magnetic flux density distribution.
