To provide a blower for eliminating a change in size in front view of a body between during an operation stop and during operation.SOLUTION: A blower 10 includes: a variable member 22; an actuator 30; and a control part 40. The variable member 22 deforms its shape from a first state for closing a vent 205 to a second state for forming an outlet 25 by opening the vent 205. The actuator 30 deforms the variable member 22 directly or indirectly. The control part 40 changes a state of the variable member 22 from a first state to a second state via the actuator 30. In the blower 10, since size in front view of the blower 10 does not change between during an operation stop and during operation and hence installation restrictions are not strict, the blower 10 can also be installed in a place in which distance to a ceiling is short.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B 【課題】運転停止時と運転時とにおける本体の正面視サイズの変化をなくした送風装置を提供する。【解決手段】送風装置１０は、可変部材２２と、アクチュエータ３０と、制御部４０とを備えている。可変部材２２は、その形状が通風口２０５を閉じる第１状態から通風口２０５を開いて吹出口２５を形成する第２状態に変形する。アクチュエータ３０は、可変部材２２を直接または間接的に変形させる。制御部４０は、アクチュエータ３０を介して可変部材２２の状態を第１状態から第２状態に切り換える。この送風装置１０では、運転停止時と運転時とにおける送風装置１０の正面視サイズは変化しないので、据付け制約が厳しくなく、天井に対して距離が小さい場所にも据え付けることができる。【選択図】図２Ｂ
