To provide an opening/closing body for a folding door capable of securing safety of a passing-by object.SOLUTION: An opening/closing body for a folding door, which is provided at an opening 3 of a building wall 2 to constitute the folding door and which is pivotally supported by a door-tail-side hinge 60 provided at or near an end of the door-tail-side of the opening/closing body relative to a frame body 10 in which the opening/closing body constitutes the folding door, includes: an opening/closing main body; and a first pinching preventing portion 100a and a second pinching preventing portion 100b provided substantially over an entire portion between the opening/closing main body and a floor surface 5 other than a portion corresponding to the door-tail-side hinge 60, the first pinching preventing portion 100a and the second pinching preventing portion 100b being provided for preventing a passing-by object from being clamped between the opening/closing main body and the floor surface 5 when the passing-by object is positioned in the vicinity of the opening/closing main body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】通行対象の安全性を確保することが可能になる、折り戸用の開閉体を提供すること。【解決手段】折り戸用の開閉体は、建物の壁部２の開口部３に設けられる折り戸を構成する開閉体であり、当該開閉体の戸尻側の端部又はその近傍に設けられた戸尻側ヒンジ部６０によって、当該開閉体が折り戸を構成する枠体１０に対して回動自在に軸支される開閉体であって、開閉体本体と、開閉体本体と床面５との間のうち戸尻側ヒンジ部６０に対応する部分以外の部分の略全体にわたって設けられた第１挟込防止部１００ａ及び第２挟込防止部１００ｂであり、通行対象が開閉体本体の近傍に位置する際に当該通行対象が開閉体本体と床面５との間で挟み込まれることを防止するための第１挟込防止部１００ａ及び第２挟込防止部１００ｂとを備えた。【選択図】図１
