Summary:To provide a drive unit that enables implementation of further downsizing and weight saving.SOLUTION: A drive unit includes: a closing side cable for drawing a slide door in a closing direction; and a closing side drum 70 around which the closing side cable is wound, the closing side drum comprising a small diameter part 73 on one side in an axial direction and a large diameter part 74 on the other side in the axial direction. Sizes of winding diameters D2, D3 of the small diameter part 73 are made to be sizes for absorbing a variation (an increment of about 12 mm) in the closing side cable's feed amount from the closing side drum 70 caused via a movement process of the slide door. Thereby, absorption of a variation (an increment of about 12 mm) in the closing side cable's feed amount from the closing side drum 70 caused via the movement process of the slide door is enabled at the small diameter part 73 of the closing side drum 70, which enables disposal of a large tensioner mechanism composed of a plurality of components as before. Accordingly, further downsizing and weight saving of a drive unit is enabled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】さらなる小型軽量化を実現可能な駆動ユニットを提供する。
