To provide a wet type nonwoven fabric including a polyphenylene sulfide fiber which hardly causes broken paper when produced by wet type papermaking method and has excellent chemical resistance.SOLUTION: The wet type nonwoven fabric including a PPS fiber is characterized by consisting of only a polyphenylene sulfide fiber, including a polyphenylene sulfide fiber having a variant cross section and a polyphenylene sulfide fiber having a circular cross section with a diameter of the fiber of 5 μm or under, and having a basis weight of 8 g/mor more and 200 g/mor under, wherein the content of the polyphenylene sulfide fiber having a circular cross section with a diameter of the fiber being 5 μm or under is 5 mass% or more and 70 mass% or under with respect to the total fiber mass.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】本発明の課題は、湿式抄紙法で製造する際に断紙が発生し難く、耐薬品性に優れるポリフェニレンサルファイド繊維含有湿式不織布を提供することである。【解決手段】ポリフェニレンサルファイド繊維のみからなり、異型断面を有するポリフェニレンサルファイド繊維及び繊維の直径が５μｍ以下である円形断面形状のポリフェニレンサルファイド繊維を含有し、目付が８ｇ／ｍ２以上、２００ｇ／ｍ２以下であることを特徴とするＰＰＳ繊維含有湿式不織布であり、繊維の直径が５μｍ以下である円形断面形状のポリフェニレンサルファイド繊維の含有量が、全繊維に対して５質量％以上、７０質量％以下であることが好ましい。【選択図】なし
