Summary:To provide an electronic apparatus that increases convenience in performing distance measurement, a method for controlling the electronic apparatus, and a program for controlling the electronic apparatus.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus comprises: a transmission unit that transmits transmission waves; a receiving unit that receives, of the transmission waves, a reflection wave reflected by an object; and a control unit that switchably controls a first mode where the angular resolution of the azimuth for the object measured based on the transmission signals from the transmission unit and receiving signals from the receiving unit is a first angular resolution, and a second mode where the angular resolution is a second angular resolution higher than the first angular resolution.
