Summary: | To reduce possibilities of damages and wrinkles on a medium when the medium is folded at a folding position by a folding roller pair.SOLUTION: A medium folding device 50 comprises: a stack part 52 on which a medium conveyed from an introduction passage 51 is placed; a folding roller pair 53 which, after the medium is stacked on the stack part 52, folds the medium at a folding position C; and a deflection forming mechanism 60 which includes a first contact part 61 which can be in contact with a front end E1 in a conveyance direction +R of the medium stacked on the stack part, and a second contact part 62 which can be in contact with a rear end E2 in the conveyance direction +R of the medium stacked on the stack part 52, and deflects the medium toward the folding roller pair 53 by shortening a relative distance between the first contact part 61 and the second contact part 62 to make the folding roller pair 53 nip the folding position C of the medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
