Summary:To provide a display device capable of enhancing convenience for a user, and a display system and a control method for the display device.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a plurality of input units; a communication unit; a connection detection unit for detecting connection between an information terminal device and the communication unit via a cable; a position information generation unit for generating position information related to a position on a display surface indicated by an indication body; a display unit for displaying an image on the display surface; a control unit for executing a first mode for causing the display unit to display the image based on image information and the position information and a second mode for causing the display unit to display the image based on the image information and operating the information terminal device on the basis of the position information in a switchable manner; and a storage unit for storing source information related to use results of the input units when the second mode is executed.
