To provide a multi-step fence having a sense of unity as a whole design.SOLUTION: The multi-step fence has an upper fence 1 and a lower fence 2. Each of the fences 1, 2 has upper crosspieces 4a, 4b and lower crosspieces 5a, 5b, and multiple lattices 9, 9, ... arranged between the upper and lower crosspieces. One of the lower crosspiece 5a of the upper fence 1 and the upper crosspiece 4b of the lower fence 2 is inserted into the other, and both have a design surface that has the common features of face side 12.
