Summary: | To provide a DNA chip capable of increasing the number of detectable genes even when a smaller base plate is used.SOLUTION: The base sequence detection chip has plural first electrode groups which are disposed being separated away from each other on a base plate, and each of the first electrode groups includes plural first electrodes which are disposed being separated from each other. Each of the first electrodes has a planar shape like a race track or oval. The plural first electrodes in each of the first electrode groups are disposed with the major axes which are parallel to each other.
