Summary: | To provide a motor and a disk drive having high airtightness by pressing a shaft into a base part with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A motor for a disk drive comprises: a bearing mechanism 6 attached on a stationary part; and a rotational part 2 rotatably supporting the circumference of a center axis to the stationary part. The stationary part has a base part 40, and the base part comprises a concave part 401 which is part of a housing that forms an inner space sealed in the disk drive, which is concaved toward an outer side of the housing from the inner space, and which is not through. The bearing mechanism comprises: a shaft 10 extending in a center axis direction; and a sleeve surrounding at least part of an outer periphery surface of the shaft. A lower end part of the shaft is pressed into the concave part and is fixed by adhesion, and a lower surface of the base part has a base step part 43 concaved to an axial direction upper side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
