Summary:To provide a compact in-wheel motor drive device excellent in sound vibration performance.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor drive device 21 is configured such that a speed reducer unit B for reducing the rotation of an electric motor unit A and outputting it has gear shafts S1 to S4 arranged in parallel with each other, and gears provided on the respective gear shafts S1 to S4 are composed of helical gears, wherein an annular elastic member 60 is arranged in a compressed manner between a housing 22 and one end outer peripheral edge part of an outer ring 48a of one rolling bearing 48 selected from among rolling bearings 42 to 49 rotatably supporting the gear shafts S1 to S4, thereby forming an axial gap C1 in which the housing 22 and an outer ring 49a are not in contact with each other in the axial direction, and a radial gap C2 in which an outer peripheral surface 49a1 of the outer ring 49a is loosely fitted to an inner peripheral surface 22a of the housing 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】コンパクトで音振性能に優れたインホイールモータ駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】電動モータ部Aの回転を減速して出力する減速機部Bが、互いに平行に配置された歯車軸S1〜S4を有し、各歯車軸S1〜S4に設けられた歯車がはすば歯車で構成されたインホイールモータ駆動装置21において、歯車軸S1〜S4を回転自在に支持する転がり軸受42〜49の中から選択した一の転がり軸受48の外輪48aの一端外周縁部とハウジング22との間に環状の弾性部材60を圧縮状態で配置することにより、外輪49aとハウジング22とを軸方向で非接触状態とする軸方向隙間C1と、外輪49aの外周面49a1をハウジング22の内周面22aに対してすきまばめする径方向隙間C2とを形成した。【選択図】図4
