To make it possible to appropriately cooling a battery at the time of charging as well as improve safety.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven construction machine comprises: a base plate 11 extending in a horizontal direction; a battery unit 40 provided on the base plate 11, the battery unit including a battery box 41 inside which a housing space is formed, a plurality of batteries 43 housed in the housing space, and a battery fan 46 for making air circulate in the housing space so as to penetrate the battery box 41; a charging port 38 that is provided in an air discharge side space at the battery unit 40 and is capable of charging the batteries 43 from outside; and an external cover 100 that covers the battery unit 40 and the charging port 38 over the base plate 11.
