To provide a liquid discharge device capable of achieving heating treatment for a medium such as a cloth within the device without causing increases in device size and device cost.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes: a holding member 15 which has a holding surface 15a for holding a medium; heating means 20 which heats the medium held by the holding member 15; and liquid discharge heads 11 and 12 which discharge liquid to the medium held by the holding means 15. The holding member 15 is movable in a direction substantially parallel to the holding surface 15a and a direction substantially vertical to the holding surface in the device. The heating means 20 is arranged at a position overlapping a moving range in the substantially parallel direction of the holding means 15 viewed from the substantially vertical direction.
