Summary:To provide an equivalent strain introduction method by which an equivalent strain introduction part can be wholly or partially formed with good efficiency in a circumferential direction for a tube wall of a metal tube.SOLUTION: According to this method, a metal tube is pressed from an outer surface side thereby compressing a core body arranged in the tube via a tube wall, and in the state that the tube wall is pinched by a pressing force from the outer surface side and a drag from the core body, a position of a pressing part on the outer surface and a position of the core body are relatively changed, thereby forming an equivalent strain introduction part on the tube wall. Further, relative positional change of the pressing part and the core body has such features that the metal tube changes in a distraction direction, that the core body has a substantially frustum shape, and so on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】金属管の管壁に対し周方向に全体的又は部分的に効率良く相当ひずみ導入部を形成することが可能な相当ひずみの導入方法を提供する。【解決手段】金属管を外表面側から押圧して管内に配した中子体を管壁を介して圧迫し、前記外表面側からの押圧力と前記中子体からの抗力とにより前記管壁を挟圧した状態で前記外表面の押圧部と前記中子体との位置を相対的に変化させて前記管壁に相当ひずみ導入部を形成することとした。また、前記押圧部と前記中子体との相対的な位置の変化は、前記金属管の伸延方向への変化であることや、前記中子体は略錐台形状であること等にも特徴を有する。【選択図】図2
