Summary:To provide a filter membrane which has sufficient strength, has good wettability and prevents deformation and breakage even when a fragile and easy-to-deform component such as a blood cell and a gelatinous material is an object to be filtered, and has both high separation capability and high filtration speed.SOLUTION: The filter membrane has a plurality of through holes formed therein and selectively separates a specific material in a treatment medium from other material by using the through holes, in which the filter membrane is composed of a first layer having a first surface on a side to which the treatment medium is supplied and a second layer having a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface, the second layer has a large number of mutually parallel groove parts formed therein at a fixed interval, the first layer is thicker than the second layer, the first layer has a plurality of mutually isolated recesses formed, the recesses being formed of a curve which is larger than an interval of at least two neighboring groove parts and is closed in plan view, and, at portions where the groove parts and the recesses mutually overlap, there are through holes formed communicating the groove parts and the recesses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 充分な強度を有し、血球やゲル状のような脆く、変形し易い成分を濾過対象とした場合であっても、濡れ性が良好で変形や破れが発生しにくく、高い分離能力と高い濾過速度とを併せ持つフィルタ膜を提供する。【解決手段】 複数の貫通孔が形成され、前記貫通孔を利用して処理媒体中の特定の材料を、他の材料から選択的に分離するフィルタ膜であって、前記フィルタ膜は、前記処理媒体が供給される側である第1表面を有する第1層と、前記第1表面と反対側の第2表面を有する第2層とから構成され、前記第2層には、互いに平行な多数の溝部が一定間隔で形成されており、前記第1層は、第2層よりも厚く、前記第1層には、少なくとも隣り合う2本の溝部の間隔よりも大きく、平面視閉じた曲線からなり、互いに孤立した複数の凹部が形成され、前記溝部と前記凹部とが互いに重なり合う部分には、前記溝部と前記凹部とを連通する貫通孔が形成されていることを特徴とするフィルタ膜。【選択図】 図1
