To provide an aqueous pigment dispersion which is usable in production of ink that reduces coarse particles and is excellent in dispersibility of a pigment in the aqueous pigment dispersion and storage stability at such a level to prevent temporal physical property change.SOLUTION: An aqueous pigment dispersion contains a pigment (A) containing C.I. pigment orange 43(a) having a primary particle diameter of 150 nm or less, a pigment dispersion resin (B) containing a radical polymer having an acid value of 80-150 mgKOH/g, water (C) and a kneading auxiliary agent (D).SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】本発明が解決しようとする課題は、粗大粒子が低減され、水性顔料分散体中における顔料の分散性と、経時的な物性変化を引き起こしにくいレベルの保存安定性とに優れたインクの製造に使用可能な水性顔料分散体を提供することである。【解決手段】本発明は、一次粒子径が１５０ｎｍ以下であるＣ．Ｉ．ピグメントオレンジ４３（ａ）を含む顔料（Ａ）と、酸価８０〜１５０ｍｇＫＯＨ／ｇのラジカル重合体を含有する顔料分散樹脂（Ｂ）と、水（Ｃ）と、混練助剤（Ｄ）とを含有することを特徴とする水性顔料分散体に関するものである。【選択図】なし
