To provide a cable coating removal device which comprises a rotary peeling head and which can reliably suck and remove peeled chippings of coating while having a simple structure.SOLUTION: A cable coating removal device comprises: a hollow rotational shaft 20 that has a rotary peeling head 50 for peeling a coating Wb on a cable W at a front end; a cutter 51a, 51b that make a tip cut into the coating by being displaced inwardly in a radial direction; an axial direction movement mechanism 15 that retract the peeling head with the tip of each cutter being cut into the coating, and peels the coating on a tip side from a position where the tip is cut into; and a suction mechanism 100 that sucks and removes peeled chippings of the coating with each cutter via a hollow part 20a of the rotational shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】回転式の剥離ヘッドを備えた被覆除去装置において、簡単な構造でありながら確実に被覆の剥ぎ取りカスを吸引除去可能なケーブルの被覆除去装置を提供する。【解決手段】ケーブルＷの被覆Ｗｂを剥離するための回転式の剥離ヘッド５０を前端に有する中空の回転軸２０と、剥離ヘッドに設けられ、半径方向内方に変位することで被覆に刃先を切り込ませるカッタ５１ａ、５１ｂと、カッタの刃先を被覆に切り込ませた状態で、剥離ヘッドを後退させて、刃先を切り込ませた位置から先端側の被覆を剥ぎ取る軸線方向移動機構１５と、回転軸の中空部２０ａを通して、カッタによる被覆の剥ぎ取りカスを吸引除去する吸引機構１００と、を具備する。【選択図】図２
