Summary:To improve cooling performance of oil flowing down from a cylinder head to an oil pan.SOLUTION: At an interior of a cylinder head, exhaust side upper water jackets 38, 33 are formed at upper and lower sides which sandwich an exhaust passage. A columnar boss part 28a forming an oil dropping passage 18 is disposed at a rear end part of the exhaust side upper water jacket 38. Since an entire periphery of the columnar boss part 28a is exposed to a coolant, cooling performance of oil is improved. A coolant outlet part 27 stepped down is formed at the downstream side of the columnar boss part 28a. In other words, the coolant outlet part 27 forms a vertical passage. Thus, flow of the coolant is smoothened to further improve cooling performance of the columnar boss part 28a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】シリンダヘッドからオイルパンに向けて流下するオイルの冷却性を向上させる。【解決手段】シリンダヘッドの内部には、排気通路を挟んだ上下に排気側上ウォータジャケット38,33が形成されている。排気側上ウォータジャケット38の後端部に、オイル落とし通路18を形成した柱状ボス部28aが配置されている。柱状ボス部28aはその全周が冷却水に晒されるため、オイルの冷却性を向上できる。柱状ボス部28aの下流側は段落ちした冷却水出口部27になっている。すなわち、冷却水出口部27が縦通路になっている。このため、冷却水の流れをスムース化できると共に、柱状ボス部28aの冷却性を更に向上できる。【選択図】図6
