Summary:To allow for appropriately rewriting a program when an electronic control device equipped with non-volatile memory having multiple data storage surfaces is chosen as a program rewriting target.SOLUTION: A vehicle electronic control system 1 provided herein comprises a vehicle master device 11 configured to acquire data storage surface information from an electronic control device 19 to be rewritten equipped with non-volatile memory having multiple data storage surfaces, the data storage surface information including information indicative of which one of the surfaces is an operating surface and information indicative of software versions of the operating surface and a non-operating surface, and send the acquired data storage surface information to a center device 3.
