Summary: | To provide an image forming apparatus that comprises an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in charging performance and durability and can prevent image ghost caused by transfer memory.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus of the present invention comprises: an image carrier; a charging unit that charges a surface of the image carrier in a positive polarity; an exposure unit that exposes the charged surface of the image carrier to form an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image carrier; a developing unit that supplies a toner to the electrostatic latent image to develop the electrostatic latent image as a toner image; and a transfer unit that transfers the toner image from the image carrier to a transfer target body. The image carrier includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer contains a charge generating agent, a hole transport agent, an electron transport agent, and a binder resin. The mobility μof a hole and the mobility μof an electron in the photosensitive layer measured under conditions of a temperature of 23°C and an electric field intensity of 1.50×10V/cm are 1.00×10cm/V/sec or more, respectively. The ratio of the mobility μof the electron to the mobility μof the hole is 1/50.0 or more and 1/1.0 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】帯電性能及び耐久性に優れる電子写真感光体を備え、かつ転写メモリーに起因する画像ゴーストを抑制できる画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の画像形成装置は、像担持体と、像担持体の表面を正極性に帯電する帯電部と、帯電された像担持体の表面を露光して像担持体の表面に静電潜像を形成する露光部と、前記静電潜像にトナーを供給して静電潜像をトナー像として現像する現像部と、トナー像を像担持体から被転写体へ転写する転写部とを備える。像担持体は、導電性基体と感光層とを備える。感光層は、電荷発生剤、正孔輸送剤、電子輸送剤及びバインダー樹脂を含有する。温度23℃かつ電界強度1.50×105V/cmの条件で測定される感光層における正孔の移動度μh及び電子の移動度μeは、いずれも1.00×10-7cm2/V/秒以上である。正孔の移動度μhに対する電子の移動度μeの比は1/50.0以上1/1.0以下である。【選択図】図1 |
