Summary:To provide a technique capable of inhibiting closing members from melting and being released to the outside of a housing during the burning of a gas generating agent while the closing members close gas discharge ports of a gas generator.SOLUTION: The gas discharge port comprises: a housing; a combustion chamber filled with a gas generation agent to be burned by an ignition device accommodated in the housing; a plurality of gas discharge ports provided on wall surfaces that define the combustion chamber and communicating between the inside and outside of the combustion chamber; and a plurality of closing members that close their respective gas discharge ports. Each of the plurality of closing members includes: a covering region that covers the gas discharge port; and a joining region that is joined to the wall surface of the housing and that is adjacent to and surrounds the covering region. Each of the joining regions of the plurality of closing members is joined to the wall surface of the housing so as have a width of 1 mm or more and 5 mm or less from the periphery of a corresponding gas discharge port, and not to interfere with the other joining regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ガス発生器のガス排出口を閉塞部材で閉塞しつつ、閉塞部材がガス発生剤の燃焼時に溶融してハウジング外部に放出されるのを抑制し得る技術を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】ガス排出口は、ハウジングと、ハウジング内に収容された点火装置により燃焼されるガス発生剤が充填された燃焼室と、燃焼室を画定する壁面に設けられ、該燃焼室の内部と外部とを連通する複数のガス排出口と、複数のガス排出口の各々を閉塞する複数の閉塞部材と、を備える。複数の閉塞部材の各々は、ガス排出口を被覆する被覆領域と、ハウジングの壁面に接合する領域であって、被覆領域に隣接して該被覆領域を囲むように形成される接合領域と、を有する。複数の閉塞部材の各々の接合領域は、対応するガス排出口の周縁から1mm以上5mm以下の範囲の幅で、且つ他の接合領域と干渉しないように、ハウジングの壁面に接合する。【選択図】図2
