Summary:To improve kneading efficiency.SOLUTION: A kneader comprises: a kneading pot 11 extending in a horizontal direction; a plurality of kneading rods 12 arranged in an annular shape on two different concentric circles, with a central axis of the kneading pot 11 being a rotational central axis; and a power unit for making the kneading rod 12 to perform intermittent kneading processing operation, which repeats low speed rotation and rotation at higher speed than the low speed rotation, when rotating the kneading rod 12 around the rotational central axis. Among the kneading rods 12 arranged in an annular shape on the concentric circles, an outer kneading rod 12b positioned on an outer side and an inner kneading rod 12a positioned on an inner side are arranged with different angle offsets relative to the rotational central axis.
