Summary:To provide a lane deviation avoidance apparatus that enables a driver to less frequently feel uncomfortable by preventing a steering handle from being unnecessarily vibrating during execution of lane deviation avoidance control and that allows the driver to recognize that the foregoing specific state occurs.SOLUTION: A lane deviation avoidance apparatus includes a drive assist ECU configured to execute lane deviation avoidance control. The drive assist ECU controls a steering handle to vibrate and performs lane deviation avoidance control in a case where a control execution condition to be established when a vehicle is highly likely to deviate from a driving lane is established and in a case where a driving lane is a straight track. When the vehicle is highly likely to deviate at least toward the outer circumference of a curved track in a case where the control execution condition is established and in a case where a driving lane is a curved track, the driver assist ECU executes lane deviation avoidance control while controlling the steering handle not to vibrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車線逸脱回避制御の実行中、操舵ハンドルを不必要に振動させないようにすることにより、運転者に煩わしさを感じさせてしまう頻度を少なくし且つ上述の特定状態が発生していることを認識させることが可能な車線逸脱回避装置を提供する。【解決手段】車線逸脱回避装置は、車線逸脱回避制御を行う運転支援ECUを含む。運転支援ECUは、車両が走行車線から逸脱する可能性が高い場合に成立する制御実行条件が成立し、且つ走行車線が直線路である場合、操舵ハンドルを振動させるとともに車線逸脱回避制御を実行する。運転支援ECUは、制御実行条件が成立し、且つ走行車線が曲線路である場合、少なくとも車両が曲線路の外周側に逸脱する可能性が高いとき、操舵ハンドルを振動させることなく車線逸脱回避制御を実行する。【選択図】図1
