To provide a washstand capable of lighting illumination during power failure, and suppressing an increase in the size and costs of a product.SOLUTION: A washstand 100 includes a wash bowl 102, a faucet device 10, a support base 106, a mirror cabinet 108, and a second illumination part 110, and is provided with a water discharge part for discharging water, a bowl part 122 for receiving water from the water discharge part, a first illumination part for irradiating a light toward the bowl part, a power storage part for storing energy supplied from a power source, a power failure detection part for detecting a power failure, and a control part for controlling lighting and extinction of the first illumination part.
