Summary:To constitute a valve opening and closing timing control device capable of effectively restraining a back flow of fluid while smoothly supplying the fluid to a valve unit via a check valve.SOLUTION: The device comprises a valve case in which an internal space is formed in a direction along a rotation shaft core along a cam shaft from outside, and a valve unit housed in the internal space so that it has the same shaft core as the rotation shaft core, and controlling supply and discharge of fluid to and from an advance angle chamber and a retard angle chamber. The valve unit has a check valve CV2 on an upstream side on which the fluid is supplied, and the check valve CV2 includes a valve seat 57 on which a flow hole 57a for flowing the liquid inside, and a valve body 58 having a block part 58a that can block the flow hole 57a. The valve seat 57 has a first protrusion part 57b at a position surrounding the flow hole 57a on a side opposite to the valve body 58.
