To provide a washstand which prevents the light from being turned off during use.SOLUTION: A washstand includes: a water discharge part which discharges water; a bowl part which receives water from the water discharge part; a lighting part which illuminates at least either near the water discharge part or near the bowl part; a sensor which detects objects near the water discharge part; a non-detection time measurement part which starts measuring a non-detection time period when the sensor changes from in a detection state into a non-detection state; and a control part for switching light-on and lighting-off based on a detection signal from the sensor. The control part turns on the light when the sensor comes into a detection state and turns off the light when the non-detection time period exceeds a predetermined time period, and the non-detection time period is reset when the sensor goes into a detection state before the non-detection time period exceeds the predetermined time period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】使用中に照明が消えてしまうことを抑制できる洗面化粧台を提供する。【解決手段】洗面化粧台であって、水を吐出する吐水部と、吐水部からの水を受けるボウル部と、吐水部の近傍及びボウル部の少なくともいずれかを照らす照明部と、吐水部の近くにある被検知物を検知するセンサと、センサが検知状態から非検知状態になると非検知時間の測定を開始する非検知時間測定部と、センサからの検知信号に基づいて、照明部の点灯及び消灯を切り替える制御部と、を備え、制御部は、センサが検知状態になると、照明部を点灯させ、非検知時間が所定時間を超えると、照明部を消灯させ、非検知時間が所定時間を超える前に、センサが検知状態になると、非検知時間をリセットすることを特徴とする洗面化粧台。【選択図】図４
