Summary:To provide a laser printing method capable of conducting clear printing by effectively making discoloration of a coloring agent contained in a molded body by irradiating a laser light to the molded body high in mechanical strength such as thickness of 0.2 mm or more.SOLUTION: The laser printing method includes a process for manufacturing a molded body for laser printing having thickness of 0.2 mm or more and all light transmittance measured according to JIS K7361-1 of T1 (%) by using a composition for laser printing containing a polymer (A) and a coloring agent (B), and a process for irradiating a laser light having wavelength of 300 nm or more and less than 800 nm and forming a printed part having all light transmittance T2 (%) measured according to JIS K7361-1, and the T1 and the T2 satisfy a relationship of (T2-T1)>10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】厚みが0.2mm以上のような機械的強度の高い成形体に対してレーザー光を照射することにより、該成形体に含まれる着色剤を効果的に褪色させて鮮明な印字を行うことができるレーザー印字方法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明に係るレーザー印字方法は、重合体(A)と、着色剤(B)と、を含有するレーザー印字用組成物を用いて、厚みが0.2mm以上であり、かつ、JIS K7361−1に準拠して測定された全光線透過率がT1(%)であるレーザー印字用成形体を作製する工程と、前記レーザー印字用成形体に対して、波長が300nm以上800nm未満であるレーザー光を照射して、JIS K7361−1に準拠して測定された全光線透過率がT2(%)である印字部を形成する工程と、を含み、前記T1と前記T2が(T2−T1)>10の関係を満たす。【選択図】図1
